Frances Constance Kambrich, 80

Frances Constance Kambrich, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho, with family and friends by her side after a short battle with cancer.

Frances was born in London, England, on March 21, 1928, to Charles and Constance Stilwell Major. Frances attended school in London, England.

She met Fred Kambrich in London during World War II. Frances came to the United States and married Fred Kambrich on Oct. 12, 1947, in Buhl, Idaho, where they lived and worked the family farm.

Frances lived in Buhl until October 2002 when she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to be near her daughter. Frances loved living in Sandpoint and enjoyed meeting new friends in the area.

Frances was a member of the Arts Alliance in Sandpoint. She was very artistic and loved to paint. She enjoyed entering her paintings every year at the Bonner County Fair and going to craft fairs.

Frances loved to travel, enjoyed sewing and gardening. She planted a garden every year and would share her vegetables with her beloved Ponder Point neighbors. She was stoic and spunky and never lost her wonderful British sense of humor. She was a very caring and giving person and enjoyed doing things for others.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Constance Major and her husband Fred Kambrich. Survivors include son, Scott (Cindy) Kambrich of Sagle; daughter Teresa (Billy) Cable of Sandpoint; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews and many special friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Bonner Community Hospice, PO Box 1448, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
