Time for a change in leadership at BCSO

| May 3, 2008 9:00 PM

I was born and raised in Bonner County and want nothing more for my community than the best possible leadership at the sheriff's office. We, as a community, deserve leadership that is strong, qualified and, most of all, honest in its dealings with the community and its employees.

I recently withdrew my name from consideration in the May 27 primary election. While a difficult decision becauseI love this community and the people in it, my decision is final. I want to thank all who encouraged me to run this time and for those who supported me in the 2004 general election.

This coming primary election will probably decide who will be the next Bonner County sheriff. This election is very critical for the people of Bonner County. Changes in leadership must be made to ensure quality law enforcement for all.

I support Republican candidate Daryl Wheeler for the position of sheriff. I believe Daryl has not only the tools necessary for the job but the moral character that will bring professionalism back to the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.

I am asking my supporters to vote for Daryl Wheeler on May 27.
