Thoughts on the bypass, politics and county life

| May 5, 2008 9:00 PM

I think we should build the byway.

I think NICAN should pay for any litigation or delay for which they are responsible.

I think we should pass the school levy.

I think if the city owns the sidewalks, they should pay to build and repair them.

I think I’d rather watch a mime troupe than a city council meeting.

I think we should disallow the “car mart” at the Long Bridge parking lot.

I think Sandpoint, Ponderay, Kootenai and Dover should be one city named Sandpoint.

I think the regular letter writers to the Bee — you know who they are — are hugely entertaining.

I think we should build a recreation center to make winter more livable for families and kids.

I think we should shop locally if we get better service, price, or operating hours.

I think my wife had an affair a few years ago — I heard she had lunch with another man.

I think the city should have allowed PSB to build a parking structure.

I think if you throw a rock in this town, you’ll hit a Realtor or a church.

I think if you throw another rock, you’ll hit someone named Farmin or Gunter.

I think Sandpoint should start a tulip festival to jumpstart our spring season.

I think if you live in Sandpoint, you must have “well, I heard” as a part of your vocabulary.

I think your politics and beliefs might change if you walk a mile in the other guy’s shoes.
