| May 6, 2008 9:00 PM

On Thursday, May 1, 2008 our sweet mom, Geraldine Eastin, sister, aunt, grandma and friend passed over into the loving embrace of our Lord. She takes with her all our love and blessings and leaves us with so many wonderful memories. She had a huge love of life. Her laughter and smile will be in our hearts forever.

She was born Dec. 6, 1935, in Sandpoint, Idaho, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Carnegie.

She attended Bonner County schools, and married Junior Dwayne Eastin on Sept. 14, 1953, in Thompson Falls, Mont.

She lived in Sandpoint and raised her family here.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, painting wildlife in oils, fishing, yard sales, bingo, traveling, but the joy of her life was taking care of her extensive family.

She is survived by her five children, Dennis (and Justine) Eastin, Debbie (and Clay) Douglas, Diane (and Frank) Hankey, Donna Draughon (and Neal Mason), and Mary (and Mike) Bush; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Marie Klink; and two brothers and three sisters.

Her parents and her beloved husband J.D. preceded her in death.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Sagle Senior Center.

Family and friends are invited to sign Geraldine’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
