Economic climate even more reason to back levy

I’d like to comment on two opinion letters that were in the Bee on Tuesday, May 6.

First, I want to thank Duke for giving me a chuckle. I also want to remind him to sell the wine in his shop and avoid sampling it, especially before writing a letter to the editor.

Secondly, after reading Phil Poutre’s long list of the economic problems we are facing in Bonner County, I was shocked to think he was against the school levy! With the grim picture Phil described, it’s clear to me that we all should be supporting education. 

Educated people are better prepared to survive difficult times.    

Thanks Phil, I’ll definitely be voting “yes” for the levy now.
