Joy D. Peterson, 57, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008, at her home in Sagle, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Whispering Pines Cemetery on Lakeshore Drive in Sagle.

Joy was born on July 20, 1950, in Peoria, Ill., to Ray and Babe Danielson. She grew up and attended schools in Illinois, Ohio and graduated high school in California. She then attended San Diego State College for two years and then completed a short bookkeeping school.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Ford’s airplane division in Newport Beach, Calif., a surveying company, and a pharmaceutical company.

On July 1, 1972, Joy married Neil Peterson in Tustin, Calif. In 1976, they moved to Atascadero, Calif., and Joy went to work as a bookkeeper for CTS Keene until 1985.

In 1996 they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Joy worked at the public library and the Coldwater Creek call center until 2002. In 2005 they moved into their Sagle home which Neil built himself.

She was a gourmet cook, enjoyed decorating and studying genealogy. She also loved animals especially her Australian Shepards and cats.

She is survived by her husband, Neil Peterson of Sagle, Idaho; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
