Many people helped in getting through winter

Our long, snow filled winter is over, but we haven’t forgotten the many people who helped all of us get through it the best we could.

There are a lot of unsung heroes out there: the men who plowed, sanded and de-iced our roads and highways; law enforcement officials who watched traffic — and along with EMTs — responded to accidents; utility line workers who repaired our light and phone lines in some of the worst weather (and the ladies who take our calls about outages, in the middle of the night at times); firemen; and school bus drivers, mail carriers and newspaper deliverers who had some really challenging routes to drive every week.
