Decision to throw ball was very ill-conceived

| November 15, 2008 8:00 PM

Over the last three football seasons I've watched very capable teams lose very winnable games due to poor offensive coordination.

There are certain unwritten rules in football such as you don't go for it on fourth and four on your side of the field in the first quarter, you don't onside kick on the opening kickoff, and for goodness sake you don't throw a long pass in the pouring rain on a muddy field on second and inches in the fourth quarter with several minutes remaining in a state playoff game, especially when your running game is averaging a healthy eight yards a carry. Unbelievable.
