Wampus Cats fall to visiting Knights

PLUMMER -  Rian Miller had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Ruth Brunelle added 13 points, nine boards and five steals as the Knights  beat the visiting Wampus Cats 51-25 Friday night in nonleague action in Plummer.

Shaina Gustafson and Chelsea Macumber each scored six to lead Clark Fork (2-3), which will get at least two more cracks this season against the Knights (1-0). Jessica Cartmell added five points, and Celeste Komanec four as the Cats were done in by a sluggish first quarter, when they were outscored 15-0 and were never able to recover.

Gustafson, Cartmell and Macumber were each nursing injuries as the Cats concluded a stretch of five games  in eight days.

Clark Fork is at Wallace on Tuesday in their secondNorth Star League game.
