Get involved and help make a difference
Sandpoint area residents: You may or may not be aware of our wonderful new Sandpoint Transition Initiative, a worldwide movement of which Sandpoint is only the second city in the United States. The Friday presentation at the Panida was very informative and entertaining and the house was packed. Saturday afternoon, we formed working groups to funnel our energies into the categories in which we felt called to serve: food, energy, waste, health, building, transportation, education, economy and tourism.
STI is open to all and I encourage everyone to get involved even if you may initially feel that you have no special gift to offer. You may be surprised.
Building a resilient, self-reliant community with neighbor helping neighbor is the only way we can possibly survive the harder times to come. Here is your opportunity to imagine tomorrow, today. Check us out at info@SandpointTransition.org and www.sandpointtransition.org.
