Take time to reflect on your many blessings
Merry Christmas, Sandpoint.
Many people across this country will be faced with a sparse holiday budget.
Fret not, it's not the materialism that brings holiday joy.
Before your feet hit the floor in the morning, spend some time giving thanks for what you do have, who you are and for family and friends.
Enjoy the many concerts at the local churches. They spend countless hours rehearsing for all to enjoy.
Put on your coat and hat and walk and enjoy the beauty and fresh air. Say hello to those you meet. It may be the only acknowledgment they have all day. Enjoy our beautifully lit town with all its glory.
Get out the board games. Tell your family and friends that you love them and are so glad they are in your life. Call old acquaintances and help and visit the needy. Enjoy the day and, oh yes, when your head hits the pillow at night, give thanks.
God bless us, everyone.
