SANDPOINT — Another child pornography possession charge has been filed against a Sandpoint man.

Greg Lamar Roberts was charged earlier this month with possession of sexually exploitive material. Sandpoint Police searched his home on Nov. 23 and discovered additional images.

On Wednesday, Judge Debra Heise ordered Roberts held on $250,000 and a preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 10. He is already being represented by a Bonner County public defender.

Roberts, 46, was initially arrested on Nov. 5 after his landlord discovered a number of pornographic photos on her computer, which he had been using. Charging documents said the images depicted minors involved in erotic nudity, sadomasochism and other explicit conduct.

Photos discovered during the latter search appeared to involve children he knew.

Court records also indicate prosecuted for, but not convicted of, lewd conduct in Port Hueneme, Calif. Relatives, who are cooperating with authorities here, said they discovered notes in which Roberts had indicated he wanted to take his daughter, nieces and nephews into the woods, where he would rape and kill them.

If convicted on the child porn charges, Roberts faces up to 10 years in prison.
