Sarah Palin is definitely a real woman, candidate

| October 1, 2008 9:00 PM

In response to "McCain's mistake on picking Palin" (Bee, Sept. 23), I agree with the writer that Palin is not the issue. So what are the issues or instead qualities we are looking for in a presidential candidate?

Let's start with Obama's integrity lapses. He has associated with, been advised by and friends of, the Rev. Wright for more than 20 years, William Ayers and Beradine Dohn, members of the Wearher Underground. Two unrepentant terrorists, who stated they didn't regret setting bombs, and felt they didn't do enough. The far left Father Michael Pfleger and convicted Chicago mobster Tony Rezko, from who Obama received a $300,000 kickback to buy property.

Obama has very limited experience in administrative, executive and foreign policy matters.

Most know the story of John McCain's tortured living hell for 5 1/2 years, then coming home with a broken body and a renewed appreciation and love for his country. He has shown courage and integrity in the service of his country and in the Senate. Voting his conscience and not always the party line, a rare quality in politics. McCain is considered one of the more moderate senators. While Obama is considered one of the most liberal and partisan member of the Senate. God help us if either the far left or the far right get control of our country.

The term real women that this writer uses is troubling. All the women I know are real women and Sarah Palin is certainly a real woman, and I'm sure they all are not supporting Obama.
