Clark Fork wins NSL volleyball match

HARRISON FLATS - Senior Moranda Becker had eight aces and three kills to lead Clark Fork to a 25-13, 26-24, 25-18 road win over Kootenai in North Star League volleyball action Thursday night.

Shaina Gustafson has seven assists and one block, and Chelsea Macumber added three kills for the Wampus Cats (6-4, 6-2 NSL), who have now reeled off three league wins in a row.

Kami Haynes led the Warriors (2-11, 2-6 NSL) with five aces, three kills and one dig. Natasha Mounsey had two kills, two blocks and a dig and Gina Palmiter finished with eight assists for Kootenai.

The 1A Division II District 1-2 begins Oct. 18 at Genesee. The ever-improving Cats figure to be a prime contender for a berth in the state tournament.
