Brown is capable of helping own defense

| October 11, 2008 9:00 PM

I write this article with great concern for Mr. Keith Brown who is presently incarcerated in the Bonner County Jail in Sandpoint.

I have known Keith Brown for more than six years. He has a caring heart for those who are in need of legal assistance when charged with a crime or have an illegal sentence and are imprisoned.

It was stated by officials that Keith Brown is unable to assist with his own defense. I'll simply state the facts as I know them to be true. Keith Brown, who is a paralegal, won more than 482 cases for inmates in a period of five years in the state of Montana. The Attorney General in the state of Montana can verify what I am saying, because he seen Keith Brown as a festering thorn in his side. Keith Brown exposed and won, emancipating many who were illegally confined, and also many who were innocence having no legal resources.

I firmly believe that the state of Idaho identifies Mr. Keith Brown as being very capable to accomplish the same kind of legal action in Bonners County. So we all must conclude, if Keith Brown is mentally ill, then the federal and state judges who agreed with Keith Brown 482 times must also be mentally ill.

I communicate with Mr. Keith Brown by letter and phone on a weekly basis. I do not perceive Keith Brown as being mentally ill, or having the potential to commit premeditated murder. I truly believe that it was self defense and no one will convince me otherwise.

I'll reiterate the above. Keith Brown is very capable of assisting or aiding in his defense, and Mr. Keith Brown is not mentally dangerously ill. Anyone having questions about this miscarriage of justice can contact me at 1 (406) 498-2760, or call Pastor Scott Herndon at 1 (208) 610-2686.
