NEWPORT - Law enforcement officials arrested Daniel Hawkins, 22, of Diamond Lake, Wash., on Saturday in connection with the White Cross Pharmacy armed robbery on Oct. 6.

Hawkins allegedly robbed White Cross Pharmacy in Priest River at gun point for anĀ  undetermined amount of drugs. He was charged on a Bonner County warrant for armed robbery and held on $250,000 bail.

He was arraigned in Pend Oreille County District Court on Tuesday and waived extradition to Idaho. According to Pend Oreille County Jail officials, Hawkins will be sent to Bonner County Jail via Spokane and then Coeur d'Alene.

If Bonner County officials want to use their own resources to get him from Pend Oreille County Jail, Pend Oreille County officials said Idaho officials can set that in motion. Otherwise it will be about 10 days before Hawkins goes to court in Sandpoint, they added.

According to Priest River Police Chief Ray Roberts, Bonner County and Pend Oreille County Law Enforcement worked together on the case.

"We received a couple lucky breaks and were able to identify the suspect," Roberts said.
