Electoral College mutes voters' voices

| October 19, 2008 9:00 PM

Idaho voters are effectively disenfranchised in the presidential election. Idaho is so overwhelmingly red that a Democrat vote is useless and a Republican is a foregone conclusion. No wonder a presidential candidate has not appeared in Idaho since the primary elections.

Proportional representation should replace the Electoral College so every voter would have an equal voice regardless of state of residence.
