Florence Adeline Henslee, 83

Florence Adeline Henslee, 83, passed away in Spokane, Wash., on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008.

Private family services will be held later.

Florence was born in Boners Ferry, Idaho, on Aug. 4, 1925, the daughter of Carl and Lillie Nickolauson.

She received her schooling in Bonners Ferry and married Cleo Henslee on Dec. 27, 1941, in Bonners Ferry. She worked, as a receptionist, for Dr. Edwards in Bonners Ferry, retiring in 1984.

She helped on the family farm in Paradise Valley and in September 1989 moved to Hope, Idaho.

She was a former 4-H Leader, enjoyed her vegetable gardens, her flower gardens. She liked spending time with her family, fishing and camping.

Florence is survived by three children, Jim (and Judi) Henslee of Oak Harbor, Wash., Richard (and Barbara) Henslee of Bonners Ferry, and Sue (and Gary) Tipps of Hope; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David E. Nickolauson in Bonners Ferry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and a sister.
