Anderson took lead cleaning waterways

| October 25, 2008 9:00 PM

This letter is in support of Rep. Eric Anderson, District 1, for re-election to the Idaho Legislature.

Eric has shown extensive support for the cleanup of the waterways of Idaho. His help in eliminating Lake Cocolalla of Eurasian milfoil has been very effective. Without his guidance, the project probably would never have gotten off the ground. The project was successful beyond most expectations. In a controlled program over a three-year period, the milfoil was completely eradicated from the lake.

Eric, along with George Eskrdge are now sponsoring House Bill 643 to prevent the introduction of quagga and zebra mussels into Idaho waters. These non-native species of mussel will have a devastating effect on all Idaho waters if they are allowed into them. There is no known method of effectively controlling them once they are introduced.

We strongly urge you to support Eric Anderson and George Eskridge for re-election as District 1 state representatives.
