Politicians should be changed often

| October 30, 2008 9:00 PM

I continually hear people complain about how the government functions. The first question I always ask "did you vote?" Almost always I hear the same answers: "No" or "I don't want to get called up for jury duty" or "My vote doesn't count."

People, I hate to say it, you can get called up for jury duty by having a driver's licence and yes, every person that votes their vote does count. I keep telling people if you don't like the way the government runs get out and vote. Make your voice heard. If you don't like the way the city, county, state does something, vote to make a change. Maybe a close election where an incumbent almost loses their seat or are replaced will force the change. As Robin Williams said in "Man of the Year," "Politicians are a lot like diapers, they should be changed often and for the same reason."
