Many volunteers made program a big succes
Conor Christofferson's fine article regarding Junior Achievement (BonnerBIZ, Aug. 28) acknowledged several of the dedicated folks who helped make the program a reality for our kids in the school district.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention a superb group of professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer in classrooms around the school district. Almost to a person, every volunteer has committed to teaching again this fall.
Panhandle State Bank not only provided wonderful volunteers (Colleen Spickelmire, Hugh Gavin, Joe Williams and Anita Porter) but they also donated use of their new building and The Tango Café (Barney Ballard, owner). Litehouse Dressing and Horizon Credit Union were huge contributors of both volunteers and funding: Volunteers include Deena Presnell, Kelly Prior, Scott Reeves and John Shaw (Litehouse) and Andrea Marich and Vicky Jacobson (Horizon). Rounding out the rest of the group: Dick Cvitanich (LPOSD); Kathy Osborn and Ray Delay (Co-op); Helen William-Baker (CAL); Todd Crossett (Bonner Co. Commissioners); Bill Justus (Mountain West Bank); Shelly Allen (AmWest Bank); Chris Bassett (First Horizon Home Loans); Doug Lutz (U.S. Bank); Wally Schmidt (Bonner Business Center); Jodie Corless (Pend Oreille Insurance); Eric Rust (Cedar Hills Church); Angela Potts-Bopp (Summit Insurance) Dave Neely (Farmer's Insurance) Joy Snow (Parent); Amy Little (Sandpoint Chamber) and Paul Krames (Primerica).
Last was the tremendous support and resources provided by Junior Achievement of the Inland Northwest in the persons of Education Program Manager Shannon Green and President Suzie Seefried.
