Palin isn't qualified for national executive office

| September 8, 2008 9:00 PM

First-time young and old voters, are you ready to vote for Sarah Palin as vice president?

Think about her qualifications compared to the following.

Would you send a person out with a BB-gun to face a grizzly bear?

Would you send a high school football player to play in the Super Bowl?

Would you send a beginning guitar player to play on MTV?

Would you send a 5-year-old to compete in Miss America?

Would you send a kindergartner to college?

My guess is you would say they aren't ready for this level of life. Sarah Palin who may someday be in a position to face the leaders of the free world and make decisions that will affect your future for years to come.

Do you think she is qualified and ready?

If you are honest with yourself and really look at and read about her true qualifications as a potential president, you should say, "no." She is not ready now for being vice president. The future is yours and the decisions you make when you vote in an election, perhaps for the first time, will have consequences for years to come.

I am 77 and have voted every time I have been given the privilege to vote. It is such an unbelievable right and responsibility we have. I hope you chose to vote this year and will think very carefully about the choices you make.
