| September 9, 2008 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT - Adam Crossingham blasted two goals and Ben Murray had three assists to pace the Sandpoint attack in a 5-0 win over Post Falls Tuesday night in Inland Empire League action at War Memorial Field.

Daniel Anderson scored his team-leading ninth goal, Tanner French added his first goal of the season and Tanner Williams also scored for the Bulldogs (6-1, 2-1 IEL). Corey Hoffman posted a shutout while filling in for starting goalie Shawnn Carlson, who sat out the game with a bruised shin.

"Corey stepped in and did a great job. He had a good time and did everything we needed him to," said Bulldogs coach Randy Thoreson, whose team has outscored its opponents 30-2 on the year. "Our object is to not let anybody hang around. Soccer can be a strange game."

Nathan Gonzales had seven saves in goal for the younger Trojans (1-2, 1-2 IEL).

"Playing against a quality team like Sandpoint lets you know what you can improve," said Post Falls coach Gabe Lawson. "It shows us what our gaps are and what we need to fix."

Sandpoint hosts Coeur d'Alene Saturday night at 7 p.m.
