Clark Fork volleyball team falls at Lakeside

PLUMMER - Junior Ruth Brunelle had 13 aces and eight kills to lead the host Knights to a 25-9, 25-17 25-19 victory over the Wampus Cats in North Star League play Thursday night in Plummer.

Clark Fork (0-2, 0-2 NSL) played without two of its best players in Chelsea Macumber and Alax McLelland, but managed to keep the last two games competitive. Moranda Becker and Amy Gannon each had six digs in the loss, and Kandice Daniels had a strong serving game off the bench for the Cats.

Jennifer Mitchell added 15 assists and five aces for Lakeside (2-0, 2-0 NSL).

Clark Fork hosts Wallace on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Cats' home opener.
