Chamber names Whalen month's top volunteer

Amy Whalen, owner of Graphic Ink Creative Group, was honored as the chamber's August "Volunteer of the Month" for her contributions to the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce.

In the last year, Whalen consistently gave her time and services to help numerous committees and events in the chamber, including the 2007 Business Expo held last fall and the upcoming Expo on Oct. 9.

Whalen provided graphic work including logos, ads, and flyers for this event as well as the Project Success workshop series hosted by the Business Development Committee.

Whalen also gives her communications expertise and is actively involved in the Women in Business Council which organizes monthly luncheons.

Additionally, Whalen offers to teach classes through the Project Success workshop series. On Oct. 9 at the Business Expo, she along with Bonner County Daily Bee advertising cirector Kathy Hubbard will be presenting "Marketing Magic: How to Make it Work for You."

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor Amy Whalen as volunteer of the month.

She consistently gives her time and resources to help promote, support and develop businesses in the Greater Sandpoint area, said Amy Little, executitive director of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce.
