Careless driver took life of beloved family pet

| September 17, 2008 9:00 PM

Recently, on Aug. 27, around 12:15-12:45 p.m. on Euclid, I lost a member of my family. To those of you who are not pet owners, it may be difficult to understand the depth of my loss. Those of you who are, see how their faithfulness and unconditional love, makes them as dear to us as all the other members of our family. To many, single, housebound elderly people, they may be the only family they have.

My family member - a 22-pound black cat -  was struck down and killed by a careless, speeding, automobile. The driver did not even stop to see if the animal was alive or dead. I am writing this in hopes of reaching and convincing at least one driver to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings. It could have easily been someone's child. It is up to all of us to protect the innocent among us.

Anyone knowing any information on this incident, please contact me at 314 Euclid.
