Gralow, Stanley, Mann grab firsts at Icebreaker swim meet
MOSCOW - Senior Paulina Gralow swam better than the state record in the 100 meter breaststroke, clocking a 1:06.85 and leading the Sandpoint girls swim team to a first-place finish at the six-team Icebreaker Invitational Saturday in Moscow.
Gralow also won the 200 individual medley, and teamed with Erin Stanley, Hillari Contor and Tina Wilson to win the 200 medley relay. Stanley also won the 100 backstroke and teamed with Gralow, Contor and Sam Trulock to finish second in the 400 relay. Trulock finished second in the 500 free, Contor second in the 100 fly and Shannon Curran second in the 100 free to lead the Sandpoint girls team.
Freshman Chris Mann won the 200 and 500 free races, and teamed with Garrett Dunn, Colton Story and Graham Cole to finish second in the 200 medley relay, leading the boys team to a second place team finish.
Casey Dunn finished second in the 100 free, Story second in the 100 back, and the two teamed with Cole and Mann to grab a second in the 200 free relay to round out the top boys finishes.
Sandpoint hosts Post Falls Saturday at 10 a.m. in the first home meet of the season.
