Elgar supports funding Idaho schools fairly

| September 20, 2008 9:00 PM

Our world is becoming more complex by the day. Democracy only works with educated, informed citizens. Steve Elgar is concerned about adequate school funding and the tax burden placed on local homeowners.

The Idaho Constitution says schools should be funded by the state, but they aren't, not adequately.

Disparities between school districts are partly made up in North Idaho by property tax levies. Elgar will work to change this so that the state pays for schools. All Idaho kids deserve equal facilities without placing an increased burden on property owners. Elgar deserves your vote.
