Business Expo Set for Oct. 9

| September 22, 2008 9:00 PM

SANDPOINT - The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the 2008 Business Expo on Oct. 9.

The event will take place at Panhandle State Bank in downtown Sandpoint from noon to 6 p.m. It is presented by Panhandle State Bank and K102/KSPT.

"The Business Expo is a premier marketing event that has a huge impact on business referrals heading into the fall season," said chamber board member and event organizer Chris Bassett. "It is the place businesses go to highlight their products and services in a setting that allows people to make productive and effective contacts," he said.

Last year, more than 45 businesses participated in this lively event. With drawings every half hour for door prizes, free samplings and services, and three grand prizes, the public enjoyed this fun opportunity to learn about the products and services available in their community.

New this year, the chamber's business development committee is offering a marketing workshop. "Marketing Magic: How to Make it Work for You" is a two-hour workshop designed to help business owners and managers create the right marketing strategy to grow and strengthen their brand. The workshop will be held during the expo from 2-4 p.m. in the upstairs conference room. The cost is $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-members; and expo exhibitors have the option to receive discounted rates.

Businesses are encourages to register for this third annual event. Registrations will be accepted until Sept. 30.

To register, contact the chamber at 263-0887 or go online to www.sandpointchamber.com for more information.
