SANDPOINT —The Sandpoint Elks Ladies Golf Association held their final awards luncheon for this season recently. The ladies applauded as the following winners were announced.

For the President's Cup, which was played in July, the 9 hole low gross was June Yates and the low net was Marlene Justice. The 18 hole group winners were Joy Snow with low gross and Sally Sellers with low net.

In August they held the Club Championship and the winners in the 9 hole category were Lorette Cornman with low gross and Marlene Justice with low net. The 18 hole winners were Joy Snow with low gross and Janie Jacobson with low net.

In the under-40 handicap for our Eclectic (most improved over the season), Linda Hunt came in first, JoAnn Munson was second and Joan Zimmerman was third.

The 40 handicap group was won by Carol Sanford. Betty Snyder won the infamous trophy for most gobblers over the season and she will allow it residence at her home until next year.

The ladies also voted to give $150 to the golf teams at both Sandpoint High School and Clark Fork High School for their 2009 golf season.

The fun loving group is always looking for more golfers to join, regardless of skill level.
