Fern G. Carmack, 80

Fern G. Carmack, 80, of Gunnison, Colo. passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Colorado.

She is survived by her children, Pat Stehwien and her husband, Stan, of Gunnison, Dixie Lynn Sanborn and her husband, Chris, of Lihue, Hawaii, and Bill Carmack and his wife, Rebecca Correll of Olathe, Colo.; a sister, Maxine Kucera and her husband Leonard of Moyie Springs, Idaho; brothers, Hobert White of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Douglas White of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; 10 grandchildren;  and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montrose Memorial Hospital/Intensive Care Department, in memory of Fern Carmack, 800 S. 3rd. St., Montrose, Colo., 81401; Gunnison Valley Hospital, in memory of Fern Carmack, 711 N. Taylor St., Gunnison, Colo., 81230, or Hospice and Palliative Care of Gunnison the Gunnison Valley, in memory of Fern Carmack, 509 W. Virginia, Unit B, Gunnison, 81230.

A memorial service in celebration of Fern’s life was held March 28 at Gunnison Lakeside Resort.

Arrangements were under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose.
