Vikings top Bulldogs

COEUR d’ALENE — Sophomore Jake Pereira allowed no earned runs in a complete game, and Coeur d’Alene pulled away with five runs in the sixth inning to beat Sandpoint 7-3 in Inland Empire League play Wednesday.

Jake Semones, Jonas Cafferty and Joel Cramer each had a hit for Sandpoint (5-10, 0-4 IEL), which committed four errors on the day. Daniel Charvoz held the Vikings (7-5, 2-2 IEL) in check, allowing just two runs through the first five innings.

The Bulldogs won’t need to wait long for revenge, as they host the Vikings today at 4 p.m. at War Memorial Field.
