Drive-through ban yet another mistake

| April 25, 2009 9:00 PM

The city’s proposed ban on drive-through businesses has created a political firestorm, and some city officials now say the prohibition is unnecessary.

“Let me guess, the same idiots that did the planning of the city lights, which ended up with “taller street lamps” on the east side of Fifth Avenue versus the “shorter street lamps”on the west side of Fifth Avenue, are the same nincompoops that are now trying to place a ban on drive through businesses. How special and comforting to know we have placed the city planning in your capable hands. Perhaps that’s why it has taken since 1956 to finally begin the biway to get the cattle trucks rerouted out of downtown Sandpoint. “
