PSB welcomes first tenant

SANDPOINT — A year after opening its doors, Panhandle State Bank’s Sandpoint Center will welcome its first corporate tenant this summer.

CTA Architecture/Engineering, a Montana-based firm with 14 locations throughout the Northwest, was chosen as the first corporation to move into the 94,000-square-foot center because of its many positive attributes, said PSB senior vice president Travis Kaul.

Kaul touted the firm’s environmental work, specifically with its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, certification. LEED certification provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction.

“One, they’re a LEED accredited architecture firm,” Kaul said. “That, coupled with their strong desire for community and involvement in the community makes them an excellent fit for our building.”

Kaul said the bank had opportunities to bring in tenants since the center opened last May, but none fit the desired bill until CTA came on board.

“We were kind of waiting to find the perfect first customer,” Kaul said. “We could have brought in a tenant way back when, but we were waiting for the perfect one.”

Sean Fitzpatrick, CTA associate and Sandpoint office manager, said moving the office into the Sandpoint Center will help the company integrate, grow and prosper along with the local economy.

“The Sandpoint Center is quickly becoming a busy professional hub for the region. We like to get involved in the community and economic life of our branch sites, and the Sandpoint Center offers that immediate opportunity,” Fitzpatrick said in a press release.

CTA will leave its North First Avenue location for a 1,400-square-foot space in the Sandpoint Center by mid summer.
