What's on Bob's mind these days?

Senator Arlen Specter, senior senator from Pennsylvania, announced on 4-28-2009 that he was switching parties. Specter, a moderate republican, is now a democrat. He stated that the GOP is moving more and more to the right and “I found myself more and more at odds with the GOP.”  What do you think of Senator Specter’s move and what repercussion will it have on the US Senate and the nation?
