Community needs to stand up and say no

I would like to thank Dr. John Ivy for his guest opinion concerning the militia — it was well researched, well thought out, well written and absolutely right.

Who regulates this militia? No one. They decide who the good guys are and who are the bad. No judge, no jury, no due process. If they really want to help people, not just impose their opinion of what is right on others. Why don’t they join search and rescue or, if they must tote a gun, why not just join the National Guard? Gov. Butch Otter has disowned them, not are they connected with or sponsored by our local officials. They are as dangerous as a loose cannon on a storm-tossed ship.

This community needs to stand up and say no.
