Why the big rush on health care reform?

| August 22, 2009 9:00 PM

Why was it acceptable for Obama to take six months to decide what kind of dog to get his family, but not OK for us to take six months to decide if we want government health care?

The answer is simple, the president and Congress are not interested in real health care reform. What they want is to control every aspect of our economy and lives. Government control of anything doesn’t work and Obama admitted it. He told us to look at UPS and FedEx, “They’re doing fine, it’s the Postal Service that’s always having problems.” Do you suppose he forgot that the federal government controls the operations of the Postal Service? What does this say for government controlled health care?

Forcing this health care plan down our throats is bad enough, but what’s worse is the duplicitous way the left is treating the opposition to it. When we question the left’s authority and oppose their rule, they call us an un-American, right-wing extremist, “evil-mongering” Nazi mob. Funny, when they opposed Bush, they called their protests, name calling and threats of violence towards him very American and highly patriotic.

In 2006 Pelosi told a group of war protesters that she is “a fan of disrupters.” How come she’s not a fan now? Oh, I almost forgot, it’s that Liberal double standard thing again. Remember? An Obama effigy hanging by a noose is a hate crime. A Palin effigy hanging by a noose is a Halloween display.
