Do your research and get involved

We just came off a bender lasting eight years and haven’t even rid ourselves of the hangover. We suffered through fear mongering (some bad habits are hard to kick), gluttony, lies, manipulation, corruption, secrecy, the abolishment of habeas corpus, an utter disregard and respect for science and truth, further degradation of the planet and more. 

We are now offered hope instead, the choice of a new direction that the majority voted for, a cleansing in a sense, contrition for our missteps and blindness, a window of opportunity to right the wrongs and get things right with the world, if not for us, our kids and grandkids.  Are we willing to acquiesce to the same fear mongering and Orwellian doublespeak we suffered during the last administrations ruinous rein?

You want the change you voted for? Stop wringing your hands, stop fretting, listen to intelligent reason, do your own research and get involved. Make some calls, write some letters or e-mail your representatives. Our legally-elected president cannot fulfill any mandate without our continued active support. Get with the program. Your grandchildren will thank you.
