How do you ever say thank you?
Thank you, it doesn’t seem to be enough to say when people work so tirelessly day in and day out.
During the last three years my wife and I have come down with cancer.
We have both received treatment from the Kootenai Cancer Center at Bonner General Hospital under the watchful eye of Dr. Thomas Leavitt and Carrie McGillivray. They are two of the finest, most professional, and dedicated people I have ever had the pleasure to knowing.
Dr. Leavitt is retiring this month after years of serving the sick. I feel like I will be losing my best friend. Thank you, Dr. Leavitt for adding years to my life, allowing me to see my granddaughter come into the world, my son grow into a man, and allowing me to be around to help my wife fight the challenges ahead.
You, Dr. Leavitt, have chosen a field of medicine that is filled with sorrow. It takes a very special person to be able to deal with these challenges with grace and love and you sir, have done it. You dealt with patients in the days when cancer was a dirty word and people had no hope, now people are called survivor, not all people, but in the years ahead there will be many more survivors. You sir, have lead the way.
Dr. Leavitt, your staff that serves under your guidance are wonderful, always greet us with a smile and courtesy no matter how bad a day we are having. You will be leaving KCC in good hands. So, Dr. Leavitt, enjoy your retirement knowing that your years of service have made life so much better for so many. Thank you.
Also, thank you to everybody at the KCC in Sandpoint
