Holiday indoor soccer tourneys kicking off again in Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — It’s back! Join Sandpoint Parks and Rec for two youth and adult fun-filled indoor soccer tournaments on Dec. 28-29 at the Bonner County Fairgrounds Main Exhibit Building.

The Sandpoint Strikers sponsor the youth indoor soccer tournament, held in conjunction with the Parks and Rec Adult Soccer Tournament. Play is designed for U8 through U14 players. 

The tournament format is 5 v 5 (includes keepers) sub on the fly. This is a fun and very fast-paced game. The goals are 7 by 10 feet and the game is played with a futsal ball. A futsal ball makes an indoor surface play like grass. The tournament is open to recreational and club players alike.

The registration deadline is Friday, Dec. 18, and space is limited, so sign up early. Cost is $125 per team, and the two-day tournament runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

n Adult Holiday Soccer Tournament

SANDPOINT — This is an adult indoor soccer tournament, open for any players 14 years and older. The tournament will be a 5 v 5 format and is a fun and very fast-paced game. The tournament is open to recreational and club players alike, and will take place Dec. 28-29 from 4 to 10 p.m. each night.

Adult teams will be selected by random draw on the first night. Top male and female players will be selected to play in an All-Star game on Dec. 29. The registration deadline is Dec. 18, and space is limited to a first come, first serve basis.

Sign mandatory waiver and pay entry fees ($25 per player) at Sandpoint Parks and Rec.
