When do torture stop and justice begin?

| December 5, 2009 8:00 PM

How is it that Keith A. Brown has been incarcerated for almost three years and still has had no trial? When does the torture stop and judicial proceedings begin? How does the prosecutor of Bonner County justify all the planned delays? Is the case against Keith Brown so weak, lacking all evidence to convict, that they are fearful to have a jury trial now? How can Keith Brown have a fair trial when folks have forgotten so much surrounding the case?

Do the people in Bonner County understand that those who are elected to officiate justice are supposed to serve the people in the capacity to which they are elected, not according to their individual thoughts and actions?

Hasn’t the law by legislatures and the constitutions of each individual state, and our nation’s Constitution, pronounced limitations regarding such actions that have, and are, occurring in Keith Brown’s case?

How can the prosecution present a case against Keith Brown when they have allowed an abundance of evidence to be destroyed that Keith Brown would have used in his defense? Isn’t there a law against destroying evidence? Shouldn’t we all ask ourselves this pertinent question: Is denying a person their constitutional rights justice? Will the good people of Bonner County stand like gazelles in Africa waiting for the carnivorous beast to devour one at a time and have no natural affection for the one devoured? I wonder.
