Tell senators that we need reform now
Have you noticed all the community dinners and events to help neighbors with medical expenses? In those, I see two messages. The first is that we live in a wonderful part of the world where neighbors reach out to help others. The second is that we need to reform our health care system.
I am happy to see our community show up to help when bad stuff happens. But as a practical matter, a spaghetti feed cannot put a dent in the expenses these families are facing.
Please tell Sens. Mike Crapo and James Risch that we don’t want health care costs to bankrupt our neighbors. We will still rally to help each other, and I am happy to deliver my tuna casserole. But we want health care reform so that, in addition to their health problems, our friends and their families are not facing the threat of bankruptcy.
The debate on health care reform is happening right now. For our neighbors’ sake please go to http://crapo.senate.gov (where you will also find helpful tips in writing your letter) and http://risch.senate.gov. Follow the links to send our senators this message. Our neighbors need help. Please vote “yes” for health care reform.
