PRIEST RIVER — The host Spartans advanced to the championship game of the Priest River Christmas Tournament after defeating Clark Fork 56-20 Friday night.

Junior Mikey Bach led the Spartans (4-1), winners of three straight, with 14 points and six rebounds.

“I thought we played really well one through 11,” said Spartan coach Ryan Bodecker.  “Mikey Bach had a great game for us and guys came off the bench and executed.”

Victor Walker scored six to lead the Wampus Cats (0-7), and Chaunce Nesbitt added five points and six rebounds in defeat. The Cats have now played up in classification in five of their seven games to start the season.

The Cats face Newport today at 4:15 p.m. in the consolation game.
