Stone Creek adds trio to enhance services
PRIEST RIVER — Stone Creek has purchased Inland Northwest Consultant’s Priest River office, a move that benefits both firms, according to officials.
Inland Northwest Consultants needed some help and Stone Creek saw an opportunity to keep Priest River’s only engineering company in town.
Greg Snow, Scott McArthur, P.E. and Wayne Benner joined with Stone Creek Land Design and Development, forming the Stone Creek Engineering Division bringing more than 50 years of combined experience. Planning, engineering and surveying services will continue being available locally with the Stone Creek goal of “top quality at competitive pricing.”
From personal home site development to large scale planning and development projects, Stone Creek Engineering is available to assist customers with conceptual planning, entitlements, public involvement, land and real estate development, infrastructure development, project management, surveying, grant administration, etc.
Greg Snow holds the position as a principal of Stone Creek Land Design and Development, Engineering Division. Snow has 10 years of industry experience in engineering, surveying, land use planning and grant writing and administration.
Snow has successfully managed variances, subdivisions, conditional use permits, was the lead on the first ever privately requested change of the Bonner County Comprehensive Plan, designing and successfully completing a 102-lot residential subdivision in the city of Boise, as well as managing and completing several other projects including the federally funded Coolin Sewer Project.
Scott McArthur, P.E., currently holds the position as principal engineer of Stone Creek Land Design and Development, Engineering Division. An engineering graduate of Washington State University, McArthur started his career in Kootenai County more than eight years ago.
His work experience has been in the civil engineering industry, including general plan drafting, construction surveying and construction management starting with the Idaho Transportation Department, and then into the private sector for the past five years.
A registered professional engineer, McArthur brings technical expertise to the team specializing in site disturbance plans, grading plans, drainfield site approval, subdivision improvement plans, storm water evaluations and general project management for, and presentation to, municipalities, regulatory agencies and other governing bodies.
Wayne Benner holds the position as principal planner of Stone Creek Land Design and Development. An engineering graduate of Washington State University, Benner started his career in Bonner County more than 34 years ago as assistant county engineer. He then served two terms as a county commissioner.
From politics, he moved into Resort Development, first overseeing development at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and later the development at StoneRidge Golf and Recreation Community.
His understanding of the relationships between jurisdictional codes, planning, engineering and environmental issues is a complement to the technical implementation of the planning, design and entitlement phases of all projects
Stone Creek Land Design and Development has been locally owned and operated from Priest River for the past 10 years. The company was founded on and has grown with one common goal in mind, top quality at competitive pricing.
“Stone Creek is proud to be a part of the Priest River Community. We try to keep as much money in our community as we can. We strive to use local suppliers for all of our projects and many times are taking materials from local suppliers to our projects in other areas. We feel like the suppliers and business owners of Priest River add strength to our company because they care about our needs and help us get the job done on time and within budget,” said Josh Martin, President.
