Frances Fanning, 92
Frances Fanning, 92, passed away on Dec. 11, 2009, in San Diego, Calif.
She was born on March 16, 1917, to Earl and Emma Neal in Nebraska. When Frances was a young girl, the family moved to San Diego, Calif., where Frances lived until her marriage to Rodger Fanning in 1952. The couple lived in Los Angeles, California until Rodger’s passing in 1974.
Frances then moved to Bottle Bay Road in Sandpoint, Idaho — a few years later the area was considered to be part of Sagle — where she lived until 2007.
While in North Idaho, Frances was active in the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and at the Sagle Senior Center.
Frances had been a nurse and a medical office receptionist while living in Cali-fornia, but the job she most enjoyed was as a greeter at the Sandpoint Wal-Mart store where she made many friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Clark; and brothers, Wayne, Wilbur and Arthur Neal. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A service will be held on Jan. 15, 2010, at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, Calif.
