PLUMMER — Senior guard Shaina Gustafson continues to wreak havoc to opposing offenses, grabbing 12 steals to go with a game-high 19 points in Clark Fork’s 54-31 win over Lakeside Tuesday in North Star League girls basketball in Plummer.

The streaking Wampus Cats (6-4, 2-0 NSL) held the Knights to just two first quarter points, as Gustafson reached double figures in steals for the fourth time this season.

“She has the desire to go out and take the ball away,” said Cats coach Dexter Vogel. “She’s one tenacious young lady.”

Brocklynn Thornton dropped in 10, Zara Palmer eight, and Celeste Komanec pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Cats, who have won five of their last six games.

Shannon Miller scored eight and Joelle Miller nine to lead the Knights in defeat.

Clark Fork is at Mullan on Jan. 5.
