PCDC delivers Christmas cheer

| December 31, 2009 8:00 PM

PONDERAY — A festive atmosphere provided the backdrop for a presentation to the city of Ponderay on behalf of the Ponderay Community Development Corporation.

In addition to a festive meal and a Christmas serenade by the Sandpoint High School choir, the Clause Cause program received a $200 gift from PCDC.

“We had our best year yet!” said Ponderay Mayor Carol Kunzeman. “The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me.”

Kunzeman has been furthering the Claus Cause for several years now. At the luncheon she spoke of Santa’s stocking deliveries with a passion evoking childhood Christmas memories for many. She thanked PCDC members for the group’s donation as well as all of the other individuals and businesses which contributed and to all the volunteers and stocking stuffers that gave their time to the clause.

Not even a December rain could dampen the Christmas spirit as Santa delivered 300 stockings full of goodies to the children of Ponderay on Dec. 19.
