Broggi's 21 powers Cats past Tigers

CLARK FORK — Jared Broggi scored a game-high 21, and Pat Young stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, seven assists and five steals, leading the Wampus Cats to a North Star Leauge home win over Mullan Tuesday night.

Stillman Berkley scored 14, as the Cats (4-10, 3-2 NSL) hit 7-12 from 3-point range in the first half.

"We tried to take it to them and get the ball inside to what I call our gorillas," said Cats coach Melvin Speelmon of Broggi and Chase Chowning, his two twin towers. "We stepped it up on defense with good intensity."

Thomas McKinnon led the Tigers (0-16, 0-6 NSL) with 15 points.

Clark Fork hosts Coeur d'Alene Charter on Thursday.
