| February 10, 2009 8:00 PM

PRIEST RIVER — Max Salesky scored a game-high 26 points on nine for 11 shooting for the Intermountain League leading Spartans (13-0, 6-0 IML).  Eric Holbrook recorded 16 points to go with nine assists and Jake Weimer added 14 points and nine rebounds.

“Kellogg plays hard and their pressure hurt us, but we made the adjustments in the second half and Max (Salesky) had a great night,” Spartan coach Ryan Bodecker said.  He would add about his sophomore, “He (Salesky) was joking around before the game and said, coach I think I’m hot.”

Kellogg (8-9, 4-4 IML) made two first half runs to stay in the game but were outscored 43-18 in the second half.  Brad Osterberg-Miller and Blake Jerome both scored 11 for the Wildcats.  Joe Bren had a game-high four steals.

Both teams play again on Friday with Kellogg hosting Bonners Ferry and Priest River traveling to Timberlake.
