Proposed location is just a bad idea
At one time or another we have all made a bad decision or a good idea has gone bad. Well, I feel that our commissioner has done that. Yes, the Green Owl dump site does need to be cleaned up but not to a residential area.
I might live out of town but it is still residential as there are several homes directly across the road from the proposed new sight. I am quite sure if you had your druthers you wouldn’t want a dump in your front yard.
Commissioner Joe Young is (or so I thought) working for the betterment of the people in his district but in this case he is not. One would think he would have at least talked with us about this before purchasing the property. I am asking you to support us by signing a letter of protest which can be found in Priest River at River Mountain Realty, 100 McKinley St.; Border Town Feed, 418 High St.; Big Moose Rentals, 917 Highway 57;, and Bev’s Home Furnishings, 1108 E. Highway 2. Also write to Commissioner Joe Young at 1500 Highway 2, Sandpoint, ID 83864 or call hum at 265-1438 an appeal to him to squelch this idea of moving the dump site to this area.
